Textbook

Black labs in Arkansas flooded timber, it doesn't get more "waterfowl" than that. An old friend of mine's family owns a legendary block of woods in Arkansas. On of those properties that has birds when no one else does. I got the invite to come sling a camera and hang out for a morning and I eagerly accepted. At the time the rest of Arkansas was dying for water and praying for a cold front. 

At first light a big group sucked down into this hole, that didn't look like a hole, breaking branches on the way down. And in my 6 years of slinging a camera, this was the only time I got caught staring instead of filming. It was special. 

The dog work this morning was nothing short of exceptional too. The two guys I was with were, and are, dog trainers. David Spaulding and Marty Roberts, some of the best of the best. The dog pictures is Davids dog "Sparrow" if I'm remembering correctly.
